The Senate today failed for a second time to pass the House-passed continuing resolution, 55-45 (60 votes being required for passage). Therefore, federal funding of agencies lapses at midnight tonight with the end of FY 2025.
(Earlier, the Senate failed to pass the Democratic alternative continuing resolution 47-53.
